Expat Health Insurance News: Expat nurses in Kuwait to receive pay hikes in two months
The increments of thousands expatriate nurses in Kuwait will be paid within the next two months, according to country officials.
"The administrative sector is endeavouring to pay the increments of 14,000 male and female expatriate nurses within the next two months," assistant undersecretary for administrative affairs at the ministry of health Marzouk Al-Rasheedi said.
According to the Al-Sabah daily, the pay increases of 900 Kuwait nurses will be paid along with their March salaries, with the payment being retroactive from October last year.
The increments, which are given depending on the candidate’s qualifications, experience and position, range between KD 75 and KD 311 for expatriate nurses and KD 155 KD 465 for Kuwaiti nurses.
Meanwhile, Dr Laila Al-Dousari, the director of central department for primary health care at the ministry of health, said the government is looking to set up a health centre in each new housing area.
