Policy Benefits

Key Benefits of our Backpacker Travel Insurance

We understand that everyone has different budgets and varying priorities and with that in mind, we offer a core international travel insurance policy, additional policy options and destination tailoring so that you can adapt cover and premiums to provide you with exactly the right travel insurance solution for your needs.

Emergency Medical Evacuation

In the event that you become injured or unwell overseas you may need to be medically evacuated. Our core policy covers this, ensuring that wherever you are, you are transported to an appropriate medical facility for treatment. This is particularly useful if you’re backpacking in remote areas.

Emergency & Accidental Medical Treatment

Our core policy provides cover against the high cost of medical treatment and evacuation. It covers 100% of costs should an air ambulance, hospitalisation, prescribed medicine or care management be required as well as providing cover for other emergency treatment.

Enhanced Benefits & Protection

Our Standard policy includes all the benefits in the Basic policy, but it also has an extra optional level of protection. When travelling abroad accidents and losses are sometimes unavoidable and if you want to be protected should you lose any personal property or your passport, then choose our standard policy.

Cancellation and Curtailment Cover

In addition to the benefits of the Standard level of cover, our comprehensive option also protects you against cancellation and curtailment. This benefit may be important in the event that you have to cancel your trip unexpectedly or if you are forced to return home early due to unforeseen circumstances.
