Policy Benefits
Key Benefits of our Short Term Health Insurance
We know that not every trip abroad is the same, so our Short Term Healthcare policy can provide comprehensive cover from a minimum of 2 to 11 months. Instant healthcare cover, 24-hour support, and unrestricted access to hospitals will give you peace of mind for however long you are overseas.
Medical Expenses
The primary feature of our global health insurance plans is medical expenses. We will provide you with comprehensive medical cover while you’re overseas.
If for any reason you are hospitalised or require urgent GP treatment while abroad, you can rest assured that you will be protected from medical costs according to our benefit schedule.
Preventative Care
The health and wellbeing of you and your family is vital. Not only does Expatriate Group cover you against emergency medical treatment but it’s also committed to keeping you healthy by covering preventative care cover, including vaccinations, annual medical check-ups, cervical smears and cancer screening for the over 45’s.
Dental Care
Dental health shouldn’t be neglected, and this is why our Short Term Healthcare Insurance plans feature dental care. This covers emergency dental treatment, routine check-ups, and any basic or major restorative dental treatment. Ensure that your oral health is looked after even when you move abroad.
Optical Care
We prioritise optical care and this is why our Select plan covers any eye examinations and lenses so that you can act on any changes to your eyesight without worrying about the expense. If there is a change to your prescription, we will cover you for the cost of treatment and any lenses,
Maternity Care
Our Short Term Health Insurance provides cover if you start a family overseas. Delivery (home or hospital), elective or non-elective caesarean operations, and any complications that may occur during pregnancy are included. Furthermore, all new born care is included in the policy too.
Complementary Medicine / Therapies
Should you require any complementary and alternative medicines that fall outside of mainstream healthcare your Expatriate Group policy will provide cover for treatments such as acupuncture and homeopathy, aromatherapy, chiropractic help and osteopathy.
Emergency Assistance
With Expatriate Group you can guarantee 24/7 emergency multilingual support. If you find yourself requiring emergency medical treatment, you will have immediate access to professional medical and evacuation assistance. The emergency support team will take care of everything ensuring that you receive the care that you need.
Chronic Conditions
There are some conditions that will require unique assistance and special benefits and this is something we factor into our short term insurance plans. Therefore, our benefits schedule includes compassionate travel, terminal and palliative care and support for HIV, AIDS & ARCS.
